If you’re looking for one of the most popular Yoga studios in Charlotte, just count to 2... Y2 that is. Y2 Yoga is one of the biggest and best in Charlotte offering over 100 classes PER WEEK in one location.
I feel like an infomercial when talking about Y2 simply because how extensive and versatile their offering is. “It slices, it dices and for 3 low low payments of” ...ok you get the picture... Everything from hot yoga to deep stretch to kids classes and superflow, not only is it an expansive yoga studio under one roof with multiple practice spaces, Y2 also features a spa and restaurant on-site! Noms to nibble on and a great place to sweat in a few different ways and then some relaxing body work all in one spot.
Y2 is clean and modern and will make you feel like you’re at a high-end spa upon walking in the doors. With all the amenities you could ask for, Y2 checks every box and leaves no stone unturned when it comes to making sure you have the best experience (this includes child watch on-site). With over 20 instructors, everyone has their own style while maintaining the Y2 standards. It’s OK to pick favorites - just make sure your instructor is right for you.

With the popularity of yoga and the countless opportunities to practice around town, it is easy to be a little or a "lottle" overwhelmed with options of where to go. Y2 takes care of that overwhelming research and googling and puts just about everything into one location which makes things really, really convenient. Today I tried “double shot”, a heart pumping fast paced flow with the added sweat factor of a heated room. I made the grave mistake of forgetting my water bottle. DO NOT DO THIS!! Although I could have purchased one from the desk, I was too stubborn to leave class by the time I had realized it. Hot yoga is no joke, especially 90 minutes of it. No matter which class you take, I guarantee you will find an equal challenge and space to grow/ ground yourself.
If you are looking for a small, quaint one room yoga studio, Y2 is not that. If you are looking to feel empowered, pampered, and part of a massive yoga community that kicks some major butt, well, you need not look any further. While it is not small or quaint, their attention to detail will make you feel at home and extremely comfortable. Girl or guy, novice or ninja, you should feel extremely welcomed and able to partake in almost any of the classes. Today I happened to be surrounded by some of the most bendy, graceful people I have ever seen, yet I did not feel out of place.
Most importantly, unlike those infomercials you see on TV...no gimmicks here, Y2 actually works.
