Ever walk into a new studio and just feel new? Don’t know who to talk to? Are you supposed to check-in? Is there a waiver? Did you forget your towel? Were you supposed to bring one? What is actually going to happen in this class you signed up for? Hundreds of questions racing through your mind and having that lost in the frost look glued to your face. It’s uncomfortable, and we’ve all been there.  

 

New to Charlotte and looking for a fresh start, I began making my way through Charlotte via my two favorite things, eating and working out (and for a brief period of time that I do not like to admit to...Pokemon Go).  I had Classpass as a list of places but everything else was still missing. With over 50 studios that could possibly interest me, where do I even start? I found myself booking classes after playing “eenie meenie miny moe” and showing up with no real idea of what was about to happen next.  

 

With that in mind, I realized that I couldn’t be the only one feeling this way. #SweatDates was created to help new users get a grip on what they are about to jump into.  Don’t get me wrong, blind dating fitness can be an adventure but for those of you that don’t appreciate that on the regular, we’re here to make it an easy decision! Think of us like Tinder, with more info and fewer requests to see your boobs.  

 

A #SweatDate is an in-depth look at a studio that I personally visit. I actually take the class and tell you about it. You get the inside scoop and I share all of the juicy details with you, so when you go, you know what and how it’s about to all go down. As we develop, these #SweatDate posts will evolve into full video presentations of my experience in class. I will walk you through showing up, checking in, and getting my butt kicked. Until then, enjoy the pictures and descriptions!
